Merchant Taylors Lake:
– There are two communal gazebos used as changing rooms on the lakeside – one for gents, and one for ladies.
– Indoor changing rooms, toilets & showers are provided in the OMT (Old Merchant Taylor) building

Mallory Park Lake:
– Indoor shower & toilet block, that can be used for changing.

There are no lockers, however a gazebo is provided for you to leave a bag with your change of clothes & towel in. Please do not bring any valuables. If you have any concerns about leaving small possessions, please speak to a member of the team.

Yes. You must be a confident swimmer able to swim 400m in a pool. You don’t have to be fast, just competent.

The sessions are open to under 16’s who must also be confident swimmers. You may be asked to perform a short demonstration swim under the watchful eye of the lakeside water safety team.

Our open water swim venues have laps ranging from 150m up to 1.5km. These will be opened by the lakeside team depending upon weather conditions, water temperature and demand.

Yes, but it is quick and easy to set up!
It also means that you can earn loyalty points and transfer between sessions (for a £1 transfer fee).

Event Cancellation Policy: We want you to book with confidence so, if your session(s) can no longer go ahead, you will receive a credit of your entry fee to your ATW account.

Transfers: If you are not able to attend your session(s) you can transfer to an alternative session on the condition that this is done at least 24hrs before your session starts. This is done within your account page and incurs a £1 fee.
